Backyard Biodiversity Day
A CELEBRATION OF FLORIDA’S UNIQUE FLORA & FAUNA
Presented by the Florida Native Plant Society to benefit habitat restoration projects at Mead Botanical Garden
Saturday, October 19, 2024 - 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Location: Mead Botanical Garden 1300 S. Denning Drive, Winter Park, FL 32789
Parking at Mead Botanical Gardening is free but limited. If parking is full, please park legally on nearby streets. Even better, walk, bike or carpool!
FREE, family-friendly event features:
- Informative presentations about creating biodiverse backyard habitats with native plants which help support bees & native wildlife
- Interpretive hikes focusing on pollinator insects, edible plants, herpetology, gopher tortoises and the ongoing sandhill habitat restoration project
- Native plant & wildflower seed sale
- Environmentally conscious exhibitors and vendors
- Kids Activities
- Food trucks
- Live Music
