Join us for a full day of discovery, nature and community at the 14th Annual Backyard Biodiversity Day, hosted at the beautiful Mead Botanical Garden! This beloved event celebrates Florida’s incredible native plants and wildlife, while supporting vital habitat restoration efforts on-site in the Sandhill, Xeric Hammock and Scrubby Flatwood ecosystems.

FREE, family-friendly event features:

• Native plant & wildflower seed sale
• Expert-led presentations on native gardening and biodiversity
• Interpretive hikes exploring pollinators, edible native plants, reptiles, gopher tortoises and ongoing sandhill restoration
• Eco-conscious vendors and environmental exhibitors
• Engaging kids activities and crafts
• Local Food trucks
• Live Music

Whether you are a longtime native plant enthusiast or just curious about creating a more sustainable and wildlife-friendly yard, Backyard Biodiversity Day offers something for everyone.

Parking at Mead Botanical Gardening is free but limited. If parking is full, please park legally on nearby streets. Even better, walk, bike or carpool!
